We’ll use loops, samples, and recordings, developing skills that will give your sets a unique vibe that truly reflects you. By the end of the course, you’ll walk away with a solid set of technical tools and creative ideas that will serve you for a long time in the world of DJing.

About the course

In the course, we will learn the essential techniques of DJing, including: beatmatching, using EQ and effects to create smooth and creative transitions, working with loops and samples, and mixing across different musical genres. We’ll study the history of DJing, listen to and analyze sets from leading DJs, and learn to understand the energy curve of a set. We’ll also explore storytelling and artistic direction in DJing, and as a final project, record a one-hour set.
