About the course
We’ll dive into different production approaches, explore relevant musical history, and go through extensive practice that will lead you to create something new and unique.
We’ll learn how to use the powerful tools the software offers for building beats, loops, melodies, and harmonies, as well as for audio editing and boundary-breaking creative production.
We’ll take a deep look at contemporary music, peek behind the scenes of production to understand how it’s made, and experiment with different musical genres, sound design, recording, playing on controllers, and working with effects and sound processors. We’ll also learn how to craft an engaging and captivating musical story. You’ll get to know the advanced techniques LIVE has to offer for both production and performance.
By the end of the course, you’ll be ready to set out as an independent creator.

Since I started listening to electronic music, I was always curious—how do they do it? How do you take a variety of electronic sounds and textures and make them come together so beautifully? I had this dream of trying to create something myself, or at least to better understand the music—how it’s made, and what kind of knowledge an artist needs in order to produce electronic music at the highest level.
I never really had a musical background, other than always loving to listen to music. That’s how I found Roman’s electronic music production course. In just 13 sessions of three hours each, we touched on nearly every relevant aspect of creating electronic music today. With every topic we learned, we created a short piece using the techniques we had studied up to that point. By the end of the course, all of us were already able to create a track that sounded good and musically solid!
On top of that, today I listen to music in a completely different way. The learning experience with Roman was incredible—his knowledge of the subject is endless, and he also has an amazing ability to explain and teach. His practical teaching methods, and his guidance in bridging the gap we as students had with the technology of a program like Ableton, were invaluable.

We were a small group, and Roman taught us Ableton from scratch—with lots of patience, creativity, and engagement.
